The construction sector includes all building, civil engineering and related activities (which are performed in an Office, on site, in a workshop or factory) associated with the design of, planning for, preparation for, and the building, construction, erection, fitting, installation, completion, maintenance and repair of buildings, structures, factories, dam walls, weirs, reservoirs, pipelines, canals, tunnels, roads, runways, driveways, and parking areas, as well as building and civil engineering infrastructure. It includes, but is not limited to the following activities as outlined in the regulation 316 of the Act as amended on 31 March 2005 and occupations:

Kitchen cabinet making for customized requirements on site

Manufacture and assembly of building related aluminum components and fixtures, including aluminum fenestration and skylight installation
Manufacture of articles of concrete, cement and plaster
Manufacture of articles of concrete, cement and plaster including precast building and civil engineering products on-site and off-site
Manufacture of builders carpentry and joinery
Manufacture of construction material, hardware, plumbing and heating equipment

Manufacture of roof trusses except where the manufacturing of timber roof trusses is carried out as a sawmill as ancillary part of the process of producing timber
