34. Learnership Committee

34.1Composition

 

34.1.1The members of the Learnership Committee shall be nominated by the chambers.

 

34.1.2Each chamber may nominate two members, one representing employees and one representing employers.

 

34.1.3The Learnership Committee may appoint a chairperson who must generally supervise, manage and co-ordinate the functions of the Learnership Committee.

 

34.2Duties and functions

 

34.2.1The Learnership Committee must—

 

34.2.2develop policies, principles, criteria and guidelines related to learnerships in accordance with Chapter 4 of the Skills Development Act; and

 

34.2.3develop and recommend plans for the implementation of learnerships.
