19. Requisitioned meetings

19.1The chairperson must, on the requisition of not less than four of the chambers of SASSETA and within fourteen days of the lodging of the requisition issue a notice to members convening a meeting of the Board for a date not less than twenty-one and not more than thirty-five days from the date of the notice.

 

19.2The requisition must—
19.2.1state the objects of the meeting which must be to transact some business required or permitted to be transacted by SASSETA;
19.2.2be signed by the requisitioners; and
19.2.3be lodged with the Chief Executive Officer.

 

19.3The requisitioners may themselves on twenty-one days notice convene a meeting if the chairperson does not issue a notice as required within fourteen days of the lodging of the requisition and the requisitioners must state the objects of the meeting.

 

19.4A requisitioned meeting may not be held after the expiry of three months from the date on which the notice was lodged.

 

19.5A minimum of fifty percent plus one of the Board members constitutes a quorum.

 

19.6If after one hour of the scheduled time for the meeting there is no quorum; the provisions of clauses 11.3 and 11.4 must apply.
