3. Name and Legal Status

3.1The name of the authority is the Manufacturing, Engineering and Related Services Sector Education and Training Authority, hereinafter referred to as the MERSETA

 

3.2THE MERSETA is a legal entity and bears responsibility for all its actions.

 

3.3The MERSETA is established in terms of section 9 of the Skills Development Act No. 97 of 1998 (as amended).

 

3.4The MERSETA will comply with section 3 of the Public Finance Management Act I of 1999 (PFMA).
