25. Powers and Duties of National Sub-sector Committees

National sub-sector committees shall:

 

25.1Elect a Chairperson from its members;

 

25.2Review and guide the sub-sector’s skills development component of the budget;

 

25.3Review and comment on skills development financial statements;

 

25.4Review reports on the evaluation of the impact of the skills development levy in the sub-sector;

 

25.5Advise on the approach to and methodology for research required in order to develop the SSP;

 

25.6Review any draft SSP before testing with stakeholders;

 

26.7Review interim and annual SSP reports;

 

25.8Review SSP evaluation reports;

 

25.9Review national and sectoral WSP guidelines;

 

25.10Review WSP reports;

 

25.11Assist with the identification of national qualifications and standards, as well as learnerships and skills programmes, required to meet SSP priorities and targets;

 

25.12Assist with the identification of opportunities for structured workplace experience;

 

25.13Review learnership and learner progress aggregate reports; and

 

25.14Review learnerships and skills programme evaluation reports.
