10. Management of Incidents

10.1Incidents must be dealt with in accordance with section 30 of the National Environmental Management Act, 1998 (Act No. 107 of 1998).

 

10.2To minimise environmental impacts, an organic waste treatment facility must have an emergency preparedness plan in place prior to commencing which must include the following as a minimum:
10.2.1Hazard identification;
10.2.2Prevention measures;
10.2.3Emergency planning;
10.2.4Emergency response;and
10.2.5Remedial actions.
