Chapter 16 : Inter-Country Adoption

The purposes of this Chapter are—

(a)	to give effect to the Hague Convention on Inter-country Adoption;

(b)	to provide for the recognition of certain foreign adoptions;

(c)	to find fit and proper adoptive parents for an adoptable child; and

(d)	generally to regulate inter-country adoptions.
